Aerospace news

I know a lot of people are proud to admit they were involved in the shuttle program throughout the years and many of whom worked and still work here at Mitchell Labs. If you haven't had a chance to see any of the shuttles up close then you should head down to the California Science Center. They are commemorating the one-year anniversary of the Endeavour's arrival to Southern California with a celebration to thank everyone involved in the support of its historic journey.

Friday October 11, 2013 is the start of Endeavour Fest and goes through Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 10am-5pm. It's a free 3 day festival and NASA will present over a dozen exhibits, displays and educational demonstrations illustrating aeronautics, research missions and ongoing space exploration programs for humans, robots and satellites.

This event will also start the West Coast premiere of the Red Bull Stratos Exhibit featuring the 3,000 pound capsule that Felix Baumgartner used when he jumped from the stratosphere and became the first human to break the sound barrier during a freefall. Felix's record breaking leap took place on October 14, 2012, the same day Endeavour arrived at the California Science Center.
